Wow, this was a long time coming, I mean almost a year in the making. I picked out the fabrics for my nephew a year ago before he was born and then the move came and things got packed. I did not think our move process would take so long and now that things are feeling more normal I have been checking things off my sewing list. Troy's pants, my jacket, and many others. I am really proud of this quilt. It is my best one yet. I was just elated when it was finished at how good it was. I know I am totally gloating but the others I have made for my kids in the past have been far from perfect. All I could think was how much I wish I could show my grandma, she would have been so proud of me

Sweet Walks
We are outside at the park a lot these days due to the beautiful weather and that our neighborhood park is just around the corner. Most of the time Nolan rides in the stroller because he is a doddler and it would take us 30 minutes on a 5 minute walk. He wants to stop and check out everything and anything. But for the occasional holding hands walk it is very cute.

Movie Night
It's been a long time and things are busy. I will spend the next couple of posts catching up so enjoy, oh and some of these are pretty old, oops ;)
Family nights are one of our favorites. We love movie night and on this night Planes is on the movie watch list. I made my families favorite popcorn. This has not been my favorite food for a long time but out of my daughters request she wants me to eat popcorn with her so I have brought out the only kinds of popcorn that I love the first Kettle Corn, Peanut Butter, and my new fav cinnamon.

Oceans
i love this song and felt i should share
Oceans {where feet may fail}
You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand
And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine
Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You've never failed and You won't start now
So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior
The great unknown where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep
My faith will stand
And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine
Your grace abounds in deepest waters
Your sovereign hand
Will be my guide
Where feet may fail and fear surrounds me
You've never failed and You won't start now
So I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours and You are mine
Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior

Check-up
This is not an official check-up. Nolan had a little temp, Gracie assisted in the job and Nolan then wanted to do the same for his sissy.

Pre-School {Year 2}
Gracie officially started her first day of pre-school. This is the last year before she is off to Kindergarten and then in school for at least the next 12 years of her life. So crazy that I have a 4 year old, almost 5. Sometimes I look around and I can't believe I have kids or I am old enough to have a 5 year old, but I am. Gracie and mommy had a little difference in thought of what she should wear for the first day but we compromised. Over all it was a great first day. Both Gracie and I were pleased how smoothly it went. Check out her first day pics below!
yes make dresses was all her idea
i think my sewing gave her the idea
oh and her new favorite teacher;)
