Saying Good-Bye

I may have already have mentioned this but we had two of our MOP's ladies move.  We spent a evening having an Art Party complete with interesting tree paintings and yummy food.

The day before they left Gracie and I attended Eleanor's last dance recital.
My Gracie girl cried on the way home.  She now understands
what it means to have a friend move away.  Breaks my heart.
Poor Nolan still asks if we can go to Eleanor and Griffin's house
My sweet southern friend Lauren and I, the best way to describe her is southern comfort filled with joy, a love for others, and Godly women.  She was such a blessing to me and I only got to know her for a year.

the Hoesch's

One of the fun things about being in Chicago there are friends we get to see pretty often that other wise we miss.  Our friends the Hoesch's live a few hours from us but Sarah and I have met a few times half way to let the kids play and to catch-up on life.  We love it!  This time it was warm and sunny and perfect to meet at Lake Genevia.  We went to this little petting farm.  The kids were just happy with petting the cats.  We had a great time.

the kids were loving this cat and the cat loved them

hilarious, nolan telling the kitty to sit still so he could pet it

of course the boy and his tractor.  his true love

the girls found a dead fish and they were determined to "send it back to sea"
it was gross and eventually we got them away but they were really into it
 so cute!

short story:  one the way to meet them in the am we passed a tractor hard at work on a farm.  nolan kept telling me he saw papa and we needed to stop.  not sure he realizes his papa is not the only one with a cool tractor.

Grad Party

I mentioned before my cupcake making.  I have an extreme love for cupcakes and I am very picky about how the cake and icing taste.  I love watching cupcake wars and trying to remake what they have created.  My family's favorite cupcake I create is the snicker doodle cupcake.  With a snicker doodle cookie bottom, a white cake with cinnamon touch to the cake, and a maple butter cream icing.
So you get that I love cupcakes and I recently made 100 of them for a graduation party that was a color theme.  I also created the main center cake.  The almond butter cream icing was a big hit.  It's my favorite, yum!

don't you love this table cloth
it's adorable

Durant Visit

Our friends that we first fell for back during our Canton days moved a year before us and live in the City.  Now that the warm days have started we got together.  They came for the Spring scrimmage, the girls shopped, we had park time, and good conversation.  Jana my fellow photog brought her camera to capture the day.  She got some awesome pictures of my kids that I LOVE!

{mema let me know which ones you want in print}
