Fun with Oil Pastels

Gracie got a beautiful art kit from my parents for christmas and all though she colors with it a lot I had told her the oil pastels were special and need special paper.  We hadn't gotten around to playing with until one day after a cook we read about some trees so Gracie wanted to draw some trees and the love of oil pastels started.

drew the top and bottom pictures, we had a lot of fun

March Final Snow

we hope.  Yes one morning in March I walked past the window and this is what I saw.  Oh my word.  I gracie came in and said mom did you see it is pitch white out.

March Random

We kept busy in March with fun moments all around that I wanted to share.

I was lobby lead this particular sunday and I was out in the hall learning the ropes before practice service started and I couldn't find Gracie.  I looked through the sanctuary doors and their she was standing on the chair next to Kristy, our pastors wife, enjoying worship.  And halfway thru she asked Kristy to hold her during worship.  It was very sweet.

I have mentioned this on Facebook but my Gracie girl has a friend in her class named Tatem who also get's picked up after school.  A couple of times during the year it looked as though he thought our van was the same as his moms and almost got in a few times.  I recently found out it was part of their scheme to have a play date.  They have been wanting to go to each others house and play legos.  So the notes started.  These notes contained phone number, invitations to come over, and even an address.  They were to cute to just throw away and note keep for memory sake.

Happy Birthday

Very Happy Birthday indeed.  My birthday fell on a Friday and I extended to 2 weekends, ha ha just cause I could.  We all headed out for diner and while we waited for Nolan and Troy to return to the table to eat our desert Gracie and I took the time for a few selfies to commemorate the occasion.

I once heard someone say that a rock or a flower was a wonderful gift from a child.  To them they are beautiful no matter how muddy and to them that is what their heart wanted to give.  My hat AKA a guacamole hat, from Despicable Me 2 movie, was wonderful and taste marvelous.
