This started from what I can remember when my twin brothers were little. I did it with Gracie and have done it with Nolan but not very much. Actually, the first time he leaned over to me was during one of our bathroom sessions and I was waiting for him. He leaned over and said, "nosey, nosey, nosey." I was surprised and thought maybe he had seen Gracie and I do it. I could not even remember the last time I had even done this with either of my children. But it melted my heart! Troy says this kid knows how to keep me hooked and wrapped around his little finger. He is my crazy, into everything, drives me crazy, and never sits still little boy who melts my heart.

January in iPhone images
Here are just a few pictures of our January that I thought I would share.
We came home after the new year to a LOT of snow.
my morning super hero's/a little pirate
my poor guy got pretty sick and fell a sleep in variety of positions...
and places. poor thing!
nolan loves testing out the motorized vehicles at Target
true to the blood running threw him and the fact he is all boy
he thought he must try this thing on. Not sure he even knows
what it's for unless he pays better attention then I give him credit for.
my adorable little nolan
troy laughs because he say nolan has me wrapped around his finger.
Family weekends are a prized possession in our football world so every weekend
Troy has been home means we should do something fun. We had a gift card so
we headed to Woodfield. As we walked in it hit me that this was the
first Red Robin I had ever visited in my university days over 10 years ago.
Then we headed over to lego land. Lego's to me is part of a favorite pass time.
I love them before and still do just now they are not as hard to put together.
We thought the kids would love it and so they did. Pretty cool place.

Salad Recipe
Ok so I love my salads but sometimes they get boring and I am looking for something new and healthy and that includes the dressing. A friend introduced me to the southwest chopped salad mix that she would add to a bag of spinach salad and a roasted chicken. It was delicious and to top it all off she made homemade cilantro dressing that was good for you, crazy good. I thought I would share, you never know who might find it amazing.
Ingredients
1 cup loosely packed cilantro, stems removed and roughly chopped
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt or coconut yogurt
2 Tbsp. fresh lime juice (about 1/2 lime), more to taste
1-2 garlic cloves
1/4 cup olive oil
1 1/2 tsp. white wine vinegar
1/8 tsp. salt
Optional: cumin, honey/agave
Directions
Puree all ingredients in a blender or food processor until smooth.
Taste and adjust seasonings if necessary.

around here...
just a few things that I want to take note of...
Every morning and I do mean every morning my Nolan comes in
and asks to watch the movie prep & landing (aka ho ho). We have
had it from the library for ever and he can't get enough. He jumps
up and down chanting go, go, go when the reindeers take off, he loves it!

snow days
Who hasn't had their fill of snow?! I love snow but it's been so cold that going outside and enjoying snow has not been much of an option. When it got up to the high 20's yes that's right 20's sounds warm to me we went for it. We had a fun family time!
this is what happens when mommy forget's to shut the door, oops
the snowy hill to the right was a big hit
the house
once we finished our time playing in the snow and visiting the park
we headed in to make some snow ice-cream and hot chocolate.

i can fly
Right now Nolan is into many things at one time which means they combine pretty often all of which he believes can fly. See below his combination of characters.
Jake, Superman, and his Mikey Mouse Pj's
up up and away
his spiderman pj's most often come with

Jersey Day
Once in a while I can get the kids to wear something to celebrate both of our teams. Although Gracie's is pink she is sporting a Chief's Jersey and Nolan is in Ohio State. Just a fun Saturday at home.
