Kansas Work

While we were in Kansas having a blast we also worked really hard on the Farm and the Farm house. The first few days as a I mentioned before we cleaned up a bunch of the trees.  It looks so nice.

When I got to Kansas I picked out a color of siding I thought would look nice on the house next thing I knew siding was being delivered and we were ready to go.  Below are the before pictures of the house.

spouses were added with all the grandkids...I may have helped a little;)

 We didn't get this small section done before we left.  Marv was waiting 

not the new door to come in and had to also install the new window.

Randy actually asked if those were new windows because 

it looked so good and then window trim was so white.

It really looks so good.  Even the roof had damage from the storms so the insurance company guy came out and decided they needed a whole new roof.  We were so excited to hear the insurance was going to fix it.  What a blessing to have the house outside all ready to go for the winter.  I can't wait to see it at Christmas it is going to look amazing with all the updates!

Country Girl at Heart

It's a farmers life to be dirty, busy, and tired.  Have you ever seen the video what does the farmer say?  Check it out on youtube.com, click here.  We ALL love being on the farm and although Troy says I am a city girl my heart belongs to the country.  I wish I went to school for agriculture.  It's so interesting to me and love all of it.

 We all participated in harvest either by making meals, bailing, or driving one of the machines.

We took a morning to got to the John Deere store.  Nolan was in heaven and he realized that Brayton worked there...he talks about it all the time.  Brayton got a lot of cool points for that.

Well, their she is, city girl gone country.

 On this very special day {for me} I got to learn how to drive a combine.  Randy took me out for the morning to teach and let me actually run the combine.  He did say I did a pretty good job.  I was then allowed to take the truck back to the house and that night since harvest was done I was allowed to drive the combine home.

4th of July Weekend Fun

 ok see the purple farris wheel in the back?  Gracie really wanted to ride it so we got on.  The guy told  me if we needed off early just yell for him.  He also told me if I hold this bar it will keep us from spinning so much which is the point of  the ride.  As we started I thought this will be easy BUT it seemed I had no idea what I was doing and we were spinning like crazy.  My phone just kept flying up and down and gracie was screaming...because she hated it.  I had to ask the guy to stop early just so we could get off.  When we got off the family said we never stopped spinning while everyone was trying to get theres to spin.
