Stuff...

It has been quiet here at the Schenk blog.  Besides the fact that I have been packing, cleaning, and purging there was a little accident.  On one of Troy's trips back from Chicago Troy hit a deer and totaled the car, our toyota.  Troy is safe but it has meant some more busy times.  Searching for cars is not my favorite thing to do and I thought it would not be hard to find a car but well it is.

To kick things back into blogging here is a little something I made for our still functioning van

with paper wrapped around it to hold her crayons while in the car

i super glued a magnet i got from the craft store to the 

bottom so the can does not slide around while we are driving

Snow Day

Getting back home was more then nice.  We got to have Troy all to ourselves for a couple of days before he headed up to Chicago.  We took advantage of all of our down time with a lots of rest and play.  On the last day before he left Troy took Gracie out sledding.  She had been before but as for most kids this age it is always a first because they don't really remember much from the year before.  They were not out too long because it was pretty cold.  Gracie went down the hill a few times with daddy when she claimed she could go alone.  She did and she loved it.  She was even rocking the sled back and forth.  We like to claim where she picks these things up from and we claim this one is all me, I love the snow and I love sledding.  Sledding dates is a family favorite.

Home Bound {final}

Yes, their have been a few;) post regarding our holiday but it was a lot of fun.  I just wanted to document our back half of the car and yes it is a mess packing well was not a priority on the way home. Having 16 hours in front of us of driving made for a long trip but the kids did great.  They both especially like the hotel we decided to stay at on the way home.

Make-Over {part 8}

On the last two days in Smith Center we helped give the daycare a make-over.  We weren't sure we would be able to finish but we got it done and it looked great.
